Why GOTAG?
GOTAG is an acronym for Get Out There And Go. I thought of it as a mantra of sorts. Too tired to do _____? GOTAG! Feeling anxious about talking to a group of people you don’t know? GOTAG! Don’t have enough time to try something new? GOTAG! Can’t hurt to have another mantra in the mix, right?;-)
About E.E.F. Chaput
About five years ago, I started to write to keep myself accountable for a goal of running forty miles. I’m so glad I did! Not only has it helped me see things in a new light, I’ve become obsessed! Now I am working toward making it a career.
When I’m not writing, I’m outside. I love running, trail running, and hiking, and I usually have an ultra race I’m training for or recovering from. I give back to the trails and the trail community by volunteering with the Trail Animals Running Club (TARC) as a part of their Outreach Group and as one of the race directors for the TARC Wapack and Back Trail Races.
I grew up ten minutes outside Washington, D.C., and have lived in Virginia, Maryland, Florida, and California. I currently reside in Massachusetts with my U.S. Marine Veteran husband, my two sons, and spunky Boston terrier. Though MA is a wonderful place to live, a bit of my heart has stayed in each place we called home. I look forward to all my trips (especially the road trips!), but the ones that bring us back are at the top of my list!
Before writing, I was in the U.S. Navy, a high school math teacher for eleven years, and I am currently working on my Technical Writing Certificate.
